Veilfall (working title)
The first Aurora Rift title is a story-driven, party-based RPG set on the boundary between a fading frontier and something ancient pressing through the cracks.
There is no release window. No demo. No trailer. This project is a long haul by design.
The setting
The game takes place in a remote frontier town where railroads, industry, and old magic converge. It’s a grounded, low-fantasy world where myths still breathe, even as the world around them begins to thin.
The thematic backbone leans toward:
- the fraying of reality
- the slow death of an unseen geist
- the unraveling of bonds between people and places
- what remains when certainty dissolves
It’s a study of the quiet end of things—and the stories that refuse to fade with them.
The approach
We’re building toward:
- a narrative-first experience
- a small, memorable cast
- a combat system that feels deliberate, not frantic
- exploration shaped by atmosphere and story, not content checklists
Everything is crafted to support mood, character, and world integrity.
Current status
Development is in early design and world-building mode. The foundation is taking shape: themes, major characters, early puzzle structures, mechanical prototypes, and the emotional tone of the narrative.
Active work will resume at full speed once VerifySync’s launch is complete.
